Round Trip Cacao
In front of the former pier of bananas taxi boats are waiting guests. For a few dollars you will be brought by older wooden boats to Playa Cacao.
The small pier of Cacao is in front of "Restaurant siete Mares" Although it is not a super beach, but has won his charm. Close to the beach there is a path that leads through the village of Cacao.
First you see a rotted wooden ship, the former "wrack ship hotel", owned by the legendary Captain Tom. He, that lost a leg on 2nd world war, settled here in 1954. His tomb is closed to the ship.
200 metres after the village is a beautiful bay, perfect for swimming. Nearby is Lolas`s rustic fish restaurant. She provide free boat transportation from Golfito.
You can also eat by "Siete Mares" of the boat dock.
From there a small, shaded road leads through beautiful landscapes to Golfito. After about 1 hour you arrive in the free trade zone of Golfito.
Here then are buses and taxis back to the centre or wherever.
