Zancudo Beach

About 12 kilometres on the road to Rio Claro turn right to Playa Zancudo (signalled). The drive takes over the newly build steel bridge over the Rio Coto, mostly through farming land to Conte.

Here is turned right and followed to the sign Playa Zancudo. After about 18 kilometers bad, dirty road you will see the tranquil, long stretched beach of Zancudo. Hotels, restauranrs and uncompleted constructions are situated between road and beach.

The small town of Zancudo has a school and police station. The 2 police officer should have the most boring job in the world. The nice beach is relatively quit. On weekends Ticos of local area come here to enjoy beach live.

Travel back to Golfito it is possible instead to turn left in Conte, go rigth. A paved road leads you to Bella Vista and Laurel (turn left at gas station) to Paso Canoas (Border crossing to Panama).

From here are still 45 minutes drive to Golfito.
